Radius Housing presents a Small World’s Cafe and Still I Rise Diversity Storytelling sessions in St Johns and Killowen Primary Schools. School children will learn what it means to be a migrant/refugee/asylum seeker, whilst also learning about countries and cultures of table hosts who have made NI their home. The storytelling is based around these themes of finding a new home, welcome and inclusive communities and building resilience.

The North West Japanese Cultural Group is organising an in-person workshop for the introduction of Bonai, the art of producing small trees that mimic the shape of real-life trees.
This centuary-old practice reflects many aspects of Japanese Culture. The growth of the tree and our own personal growth go hand in hand as the bonsai tree matures sith you.
And more! If you’re between 10-25 years old and register early enough, you will have a chance to recieved a young tree for yourself o start your own Bonsai! (First 10 people limited)
Bonsai expert with 50 year experience, Barry Williamson will show you how to take care of Bonsai from the scratch.

Young people from Enagh Youth Forum will engage in four Good Relations workshops looking at the causes of ‘community division’ and contested space in Derry and beyond. This will culminate in a street performance by the Youth Forum promoting Strathfoyle as a safe and shared space for everyone.

The Play House Theatre will be hosting an in-person workshop ‘Theatre of Witness’ on Thursday 23rd of September at 2pm
Theatre of Witness is a form of testimonial performance performed by people sharing their personal and collective stories of suffering, transformation and peace. The work brings people together across divides of difference to bear witness to truth, healing and reconciliation.
Engage with performers and storytellers from all sides and realties of The Troubles to explore the path to healing from conflict. Workshops enable the performers to screen video footage of their original Theatre of Witness production and talk about their experiences.
The workshops also give the opportunity for participants to ask questions about things that are rarely spoken about. Performers include former police officers, paramilitaries and relatives of those killed or injured.

Forthspring Inter Community Group and Belfast Multi-Cultural Association will bring together 10 women from across Belfast to share their life journey and experiences in a storytelling arena. The stories will reflect the challenges of daily life in modern Belfast, as well as hopes and aspirations for the future.
